Hi all

I own a business which is fully invested in the Google/GSuite/Google Workspace (or whatever they call it this week) ecosystem. I also have a personal Gmail account.

Historically, when it was just me in the business that had any need for the Google stuff, all was fine with a cross-over of data between the two. In fact, I seem to recall I actively wanted contacts from the business account to show up on my personal one.

So, somehow I have contacts visible in both directions, in a big mashup, and I want to split them apart.

I would ideally like:

Personal contacts available just to me on my own devices
Business contacts available within the business Google arena
A way to for my phone to have at least the ability to see (read only is fine, or write access) to the business contacts

I realise I have probably not explained that very clearly, but hopefully you get the idea

So, where am I going wrong, what settings do I need to change etc?

Thanks

So you have 52 playing cards.

You want your phone to see all of them, another device to see the hearts, another to see the spades etc?

It's more than I have all my "yellow" business contacts and all my "red" personal contacts.

I want all the yellow ones available just within my business account (and therefore also accessible to some of my staff)
I want all the red ones available just to me on my personal account

My phone (and my computer) have access to both accounts, and therefore will have access to both sets of contacts.

I suppose, if I distill it right down to a setence. I just want to seperate my contacts, and stop my employees seeing my personal contacts

Cheers for the quick reply!!!

Two options I can think of.
Export your contacts to a file and split them to import back in.
If both accounts exist on your mobile, open your business Contacts, edit each personal contact and use the Move to Another Account option.
Both of these may take some time, depending on number of contacts.

Just migrate the personal accounts into a personal Gmail account and have two accounts on your devices, the business one and the personal one. Migration from Google is easy, I have moved out of Google like this a long time ago.

Does everyone use the same business account? Have you also through about using CRM components to actually manage those relationships? It's not free but it might add value depending on what you do.
