Tapo Pan & Tilt C520WS camera

I am considering installing Tapo C520WS pan and tilt camera in my front porch, and would like some opinions please.
Issue here is with power. The supplied lead is not long enough but I have found DC extension cables. Is there anything I need to look out for? Most female to male cables have standard 5.5mmx2.1mm size.
I also need to thread the power cord through a closed window. Not ideal I know, but would this be a show stopper?
Finally, looking at the product documents, there is nothing stopping people from un-plugging the power from camera end. The connectors are exposed. Is there anything I can do to mitigate this? I am planning to mount this using the over hand mount.
