Hi, I want to make a slide show with narration to put on You Tube.
I've had a look around but have yet to find anything suitable. Some
research results.

Powerpoint 2010 - lacks features, can't get text to 'type'.
Clipchamp - too complicated.
Canva - ditto.

It's very early days but I'm looking to...

Be able to choose length of transitions.
Type title/explanation slides between sections.
Choose fonts, type size, colours, etc.
Work on home PC and save for publication when ready.

Any suggestions, please. Thanks.

If you're trying to do a typewriter style animation then PowerPoint has done that for decades.

Thanks very much. Downloaded and installed, I'll have a play at my leisure.

Quite right, it keep begging for a subscription.

I'm trying the free version of Power Director 365. Promising but insanely complicated.

Have you tried Powerpoint? The version I have (latest with O365) has a 'letter by letter' animation effect that does what you need I think. I've just done a test.

Thanks Ken,
I have Powerpoint in Office 10 and the 365 version. I tried out the typewriter animation
and that worked but I'm after fancier transtions. The You Tube video will have title slides
and then rely on narration and the picture to picture transitions need to be more creative than Powerpoint offers.
