TP-Link Router instead of Smart Hub
Discussion
Happy New Year all!
I want to replace my BT Smart Hub 2 due to the lack of range and speed I receive at certain distances around the house.
I have purchased a TP-Link AX3000 (Archer AX53),
Could anyone recommend a Modem to go with it that would suffice? Or would putting the smart hub into bridging mode be ok?
Cheers all

Before I moved to full fibre I had one of the Openreach branded Huawei HG612 that are cheap and plentiful on eBay. Perfectly fine for the job TBH and worked for both BT internet and Plusnet FTTC
If you were local you could pick up mine for free as I'm now on full fibre and just plug the router into the ONT, didn't even need to change anything for Plusnet full fibre.

You should be able to connect the router like your existing BT hub and set up PPPoE.

If I remember correctly, googling will find an answer quick enough.
