.RAR password breaker

Doing some tidying up of my external HDs and found some old folders that I've compressed into .rar but no idea what I set as the password. Talking over 10year ago now, have a list of potentials that I can keep trying but unsure if there is a limit to how many attempts I can try or if there is a breaker I can use to break them open?

There used to be a bypass process but you had to have a file that was in the zip saved elsewhere unzipped.

Or if you used simple passwords in the past (ie dictionary words) the use a brute force cracker.

There’s a Notepad method, Google it. Might work?
