My wife foolishly spent £10 to top up her phone online with these guys, thinking it was the Vodafone official site.
What a con trick, for a start they charge £1.89 processing fee, you get an email receipt for a £11.89 voucher. To get the £10 top up onto your phone, log into your account, you need all sorts of pin numbers, ID code, what a palaver !! we tried but gave up. She phoned their help line, spoke to someone who gave her "instructions" very confusing, the following email was full links and blurb. I`m sure they hope people will give up. She will now contact her bank and see if they will get a "Charge back".
Why she did this, dont ask. I top up my phone, and hers, on the Vodafone site in seconds for free.

Has anyone else fallen for onTOPUP

From what you've posted it sounds like a scam to hack your account.

If you are unlucky she has potentially spent a lot more than £10 as their Trustpilot reviews mention people having been suckered into creating a subscription.

OP, for the safety of your money, I suggest you block the card that was used to make the payment and request the bank to issue a new one.

My wife’s phone has been credited with the £10. But never again, lesson learned.

What a cock up, how are these companies allowed to operate? I did see Trustpilot reviews, got really nervous so will contact bank and block any more card transactions to ontopup.
I’ve finally been able to close her account with ontopup, received an email from them confirming it all, stating no more transactions will happen.
That took me for ever, they have every trick in the book to make it difficult, you can go round in circles.
What’s the bet we will now get loads of junk emails.
Thanks for the replies guys, any more tips would be appreciated.

If in doubt, report your card "lost" and they'll issue a new one for you, without waiting for any fraud to actually happen on the card.
