There are some websites which annoy and/or make navigation of certain features unpleasant on their mobile version. Whilst it's possible to manually swap to the desktop version of a site, having to do this each time can get tedious especially when some sites seem to actively discourage with super long load times for the desktop version but are perfectly fine for mobile. As such I'm wondering if there is a way to permanently select desktop version on a site by site basis, or at a push set desktop only versions for all sites.

During my search for an answer it seems there may have once been something like this on firefox but it no longer exists. Another possibility involved some code mods which I'd prefer to avoid.

Anyone aware of a solution?

On chrome if you keep the windows open all the time of your fave sites.

Click the 3 dots at the top right and check the desktop site box.

This should keep that particular page in desktop mode all the time.

Or I think to enable it always

Click the 3 dots then settings then site settings, scroll down content and enable Desktop site

Chrome auto remembers this for me (and without leaving sites or tabs open).

On PH for example I'll use the mobile version on my phone, but the desktop version on 2 different android tablets. It always remembers to use the desktop version on the tablets.
There's no additional settings menus, just choose it once and done. Unless of course you clear site data etc
