Guys, recommendations for a 34" wide-screen, budget 500 and mainly xbox. Looking about and would love the Alienware but just out of reach, tia.

Are you looking for 1080p/1440p/2160p (vertical resolution)?

What refresh rate are you looking for?

Does the Xbox even natively output to 21:9 (3440x1440) or 32:9 (5120x1440), or does it simply stretch the picture to fit...or leave black bars on the sides.

There's the:
  • AOC AGON AG405UXC (40" 3440x1440, 144Hz) for just over £500
  • Samsung ViewFinity S50C (34" 3440x1440, 100Hz) for around £300
  • ASUS VA34VCPSN (34" 3440x1440, 100Hz) for around £350
  • MSI Optix MAG301CR2 (30" 2560x1080 @200Hz) for around £250
  • LG 34WP550-B (34" 2560x1080 @75Hz) for around £200
  • and many others
Some ideas here possibly...

Don't have recommendations for you but I've always found tftcentral.co.uk an excellent resource. Not used it for a while but a quick poke around there revealed this which might help inform your choice: https://tftcentral.co.uk/articles/the-top-3-gaming...

They have a huge review section with about as much detail as an average person could wish for.

Thanks guys, I'm guilty of impulse buys so appreciate the help. Not sure if an xbox would be compatible with a wide-screen but need to do more research. Happy Xmas all.

If you’re talking ultrawide (21:9) then Xbox doesn’t support it. You’ll have black bars either side.
