Mouse - accidental/fast successive clicks

Hi, couldn't think of better worded title so bear with me. I have a tecknet cordless mouse that uses a USB adapter to connect to laptop. Ita tricky to. Explain but I am often finding that there is multiple unintended clicks. E. G. If I open an email in Outlook, the email opens on a full window same size as Outlook. When I close the email, it's almost as of there is another click or longer cluoc and even the main outlook closes. There is DPI setting on mouse which is to do with speed of.pointer and I have tried to change it to no avail. Also tried another laptop but same issue.

Any suggestions?

Buy a replacement mouse?

It is possible that the switch activated by a button click is acting unreliably sending false clicks.
