I have a WLED board running a lightstrip from Aliexpress which is great, it's of the addressable kind, with a 720led setup
The lightstrip is being powered by a mains brick psu, with a 12v psu output. Alls good works ok.
The challenge is confusing me.
I have WLED as an app on my iPhone, and also connected to home assistant.
Now, if the power is disconnected from the module, WLED the app, cannot find the module again; especially if it's been off for a couple of days.
However Homeassistant sees the module fine; and it's fully controllable.
Im lost on how the two apps can see things differently..
Can anyone shed any light on this please.

Thanks
.

Is the app using the IP address, while Home Assistant looks for the device name? When you reboot it the IP address changes perhaps?

Thanks, but no; it appears to hold the same IP address in both , and consistently even after rebooting either/both.

Whilst I haven't fully resolved my issue, even by reserving IP addresses for the WKED modules, resetting them all, and the ensuring they are individually setup to my WiFi network has resolved the instabilities for the time being.
I used this site to help understand more fully the initial setups and rather than just let Wled undertake the Wi-Fi aspect, forced it through using its own Wi-Fi access port, then it seemed to behave a touch more
