When I left the UK I took my UK landline # to sipgate which has been working great.

I now want to get rid of my mobile sim only contract and am looking for a similar provider to sipgate. They don't appear to support UK mobile numbers on their platform (only 01 and 02 apparently).

Does anyone have a suggestion?

A&A will do it 07 numbers, but they cost (a tiny bit) more: https://www.aa.net.uk/voice-and-mobile/voip-inform...

Thank you. I will check them out. Do you have an affiliation with them?

Swytch (not the eBike company, but swytch.com hehe )

No affiliation, but I have been using it for well over a year after also ditching the expensive UK EE sim only plan, and it works perfectly, especially after the recent app update.
£5+vat/month for the basic plan where all incoming calls and SMS are free and you pay as you go for any outgoing calls/SMS. If anyone calls you it also sounds to them like you are in the UK (not an overseas ringtone), and you still get voicemail. Tech support (which also happened to be the founder) was also on point when I originally signed up and needed some help.
Highly recommended.

Devyce is another alternative. Works fine for things like 2FA notifications, which not all virtual mobile numbers do.

No affiliation with them. I used to use Sipgate (over 15 years ago now, with early VOIP!) but now use A&A as Sipgate have removed some of their simpler products.
