Do I need a Smart Tv or Android TV?

Wife wants a new TV.

Looking around, they are all either Android TV or Smart TV. Which one should I buy?

All I want it do is plug into Freesat box and plug in a Firestick.

Any advice?

If you are going to plug in a Firestick, you need neither!

Android TV is just one variant / operating system for a SmartTV.
