what mouse do I need for my 2013 iMac?
Discussion
Sorry for the dumb question but Google is not helping me here.
I'd like to buy a secondhand backup mouse for the one I'm currently using with my 2013 iMac. It's the older type with two removeable AA batteries. I've put a picture of the back of it up here.
My question is, does anybody know what the reference number of this mouse is because I can't see one anywhere?
I think I'm right in saying that I can't use one of the newer sealed-up (A1657?) mice because my iMac doesn't have USB-C or Lightning sockets on it so I wouldn't be able to charge it.
Thanks for any help.

You could charge the newer version from a normal usb c charger. It doesn’t have to be charged via your iMac.I'd like to buy a secondhand backup mouse for the one I'm currently using with my 2013 iMac. It's the older type with two removeable AA batteries. You have to be aware though, that the new USB mouse cannot be used whilst it is charging.

I've used Apple stuff since the first Macintoshes of the mid-1980s. The descent of the company from 'special' to 'moneygrabbers like all the rest' grinds my gears somewhat. Mr Pointy said:

People always make dumb comments about the charging position on the Magic Mouse. 3 minutes of being plugged in will give you 3-4 hours of use.
So twice a day, every day, you have to look at your mouse lying on it's back & twiddle your thumbs? I change the batteries in my Logitech roughly every six months. It may not be pretty but it doesn't need a cuddle twice a day.Mr Pointy said:
