TP-Link EasyMesh
Discussion
A friend just moved into a new build house and has found that WiFi coverage upstairs is fairly poor. The router he got from his ISP is a TP-Link of some sort, which has EasyMesh support. I figured that (in theory at least) the simplest and most performant solution for him would be a Mesh AP which supports Powerline/HomePlug to install upstairs, and a Powerline/HomePlug adapter to use downstairs, to connect to the router via Ethernet.
Looks like TP-Link sell a kit containing exactly those two items but before I suggest this, is that plan flawed in some way, e.g. EasyMesh doesn't support Powerline? Or only certain routers support EasyMesh over Powerline? Or EasyMesh isn't very good in the first place? Or something else?
