Hi all,

My son has started an engineering degree and I was about to get him a Samsung Galaxy tablet so he can download lecture materials and annotate them.

But then he broke has laptop screen to so now I'm looking at getting him a 2 in 1 laptop. That way he (i) can have a reliable Windows machine for some the chunky programmes he needs to run and (ii) be able to fold it flat and use a pen for the other stuff.

Looking pay c £800 for one with a 15 inch screen. There are various contenders from Asus, Lenovo and HP.

Anyone got one? And if so how good is the pen/note taking app?

TIA.

I bought a Samsung like below for £799 a few weeks ago. Reduced or supposedly reduced from £1199....what they are now charging.

I suspect it will drop to £799 for Black Friday. Amazon have it at £797.

I'm very pleased with it. Nice screen, quick, lit keyboard. Pen included. Worth a look in my view

Interesting thanks - I was ignoring Samsung devices as I presumed they were all running the Android OS.
