New Battery for MacBook Air early 2014
Discussion
Personally speaking, after buying and installing a "cheaper" battery in an old MacBook myself that then went on to blow up I'd just pay the money to Apple to replace it with an OEM battery. That's what we did with our 12" MacBook and 13" MBP's when they needed new batteries. £100 well spent.
I had to change the battery on my MacBook Air - I think it's a 2015 model.
I watched the videos on Youtube as to how to do it and them searched the net for a genuine battery (it was from a non-apple seller).
I bought it with a kit (basically a couple of screwdrivers) and gave ti a go.
As you'd expect, i took my time and didn't rush it and it took me about 30 minutes! If I did it again it would be a ten minute job easily.
I'm pleased to say it all worked absolutely fine and the laptop has been as good as new ever since (maybe two years ago!!).
I'd do it again but I may have just been lucky!!!
