Pen options for Dell XPS Laptop

My daughter has recently gone to Uni wants a pen/Stylus for her laptop, she's seen some of the other kids using them. I thought the pens would only work on a 2 in1 laptop which fold back and can be used as a tablet, hers does not do that but does have touch screen, any type of pen or stylus likely to work, I assumes she wants to make notes etc?

The laptop is about 2 years, it's a:

Dell XPS 9305 with a 13.3" 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) InfinityEdge Touch Display

If you literally just want something to write / squiggle with, these work on our touchscreen chromebooks, android phones and tablets so I would expect it to work with your daughter's Dell touchscreen. They are not pressure sensitive, for that you're looking at the official XPS £100+ stylus.

They are slightly thicker pen shaped tips on the end. Be careful of cheaper variants which have a disc thingie attached to the end.

Cheers, thanks for the prompt reply, that is cheap enough to try and not worry if it doesn't work. I wouldn't mind paying for the genuine Dell pens but according to the compatibility list they only support 2 in1's, list XPS but only 9315.
