Has anyone ordered one of these?
Mine arrived this evening. I've not had a chance to unbox it.
I plan to use it with my sim racing rig. It will replace my Quest 2.
What about you?

However, I can't really justify spending the money to upgrade (especially as my Elite strap with battery is useless on the new model and I'd need to spend another £130 or whatever to get the new version). I'll stick with the Quest2 for the time being.
If you are buying for the first time, this is a great option though.
I’m doing a lot of YT and reading as I’m looking to upgrade. I purposely held off going for the pico 4 until the 3 was released. They seem extremely close and it comes down to user preference from what I’ve seen.
Both very good for the price. At the mo, Pico 4 looks like the likely purchase.
I have the first gen oculus that’s a bit worn out now.
Keen to hear Q3 thoughts and experiences.

Anyone else got one of these over Xmas? I tried the 2 a year or so ago and whilst I enjoyed it, it felt like a tech demo novelty to me. We bought a 3 for my son this Xmas mainly because it can be used with his Xbox game pass so we thought it would have some longevity on that aspect even if the be games didn’t hold us.
However…I am massively impressed and it feels a giant step ahead of the 2, like a new console in its own right. I’ve only played a couple of fps free demos but it is just outstanding and feels like the future I may even redownload Microsoft Flight Sim and try that with it too! Any tips welcome - only downside sofar is the strap really is crap and the battery life pretty short but otherwise all good.

We got one for the boy. Quite impressed. The first encounters AR game is really great demo of what it can do.
The battery is a bit pants but in some ways that’s a good thing as it regulates the usage.
Haven’t got into many games yet as the simple ones are great fun for the post Christmas time but I can see it getting a lot of use once we do.
I had a go with the ISS simulator and felt queasy within 10 mins but blastron, and other shooting games are good fun with no motion sickness for me.

I got one for Xmas despite not even knowing it existed. It makes me feel sick so is relegated to the cupboard. What a waste of money.
Sell it.I'm really enjoying the upgrade from the 2.
Blatting along at Monza, looking to my right and seeing another car right beside me is great fun!

What game to you play? Steering wheel and all that?
I play Automobilista 2. I dont play multi player as im too old and too rubbish to enjoy that.I've all Fanatec csl 8nm dd wheel base and Elite V2 pedals along with a Next Level Racing V3 motion platform and a butt-kicker.
VR allied to a motion rig is very convincing.
How about you?

Bought one for Christmas, primarily for grandchildren to use. Very impressed with the experience compared with HTC vive at work a few years ago.
Nearly made myself throw up the first time I tried playing Warplanes: WW1 Fighters, but getting used to it now.
I haven't tried it with Steam VR yet, or linked it to the XBox.
The detail does not compare with PC or xbox games, but bearing in mind everything is running from a battery and processor in the headset it is good enough to immerse yourself in the games.
Augmented reality games are good too, I presume they aren't possible on the quest 2
