Instagram - Banned

"How do I appeal a ban on Instagram?
On the Instagram disabled account notification, tap 'Disagree with Decision' button. Enter your login credentials, follow the on-screen directions, and submit the required information to present your appeal. It may take some time for Instagram to review your case and give your account back"

I can 'like' posts & view the feed as normal. I'm just banned from posting anything.
FB/Meta rules are laughable.
There was a period of time where users were sharing videos of ISIS executions which did not violate their community guidelines, but post a picture of a half bum cheek reveal: in the clink you go.
A mate also copped a ban for saying that someone/something was a 'cracker'.
If these examples are anything to go by...

Is not being able to use Instagram for 2 weeks causing you untold stress? Don't answer that. It clearly is. Get some help.
I was perma-banned from FB and insta. It's liberating not having to give a st about likes.
No. I'm not stressed or bothered I was perma-banned from FB and insta. It's liberating not having to give a st about likes.
Just irritated being banned for no reason.
At least on PH you are told why you are banned!!!

And would I be correct in thinking you've been banned on here also but have joined up with a new user name or am I just cynical?I was perma-banned from FB and insta. It's liberating not having to give a st about likes.

I got banned for my comment as shown below - after I saw an accident video.
Apparently my comment goes against community standards!!!
And yet a video of the accident, (with some pretty graphic footage & which resulted in 2 fatalities), is being shared on Instagram.
Makes no sense.

Social media is bizarre when it comes to bans and their rules...
Reddit for example - I'm currently banned for 2 weeks - first ban I've ever had in the years I've used it - for saying that 'the British Empire had some net positive effects on the world'. It was just a passing comment, I didn't even write anything else, but it must've rubbed one of the anti-British British subreddit mods the wrong way, who managed to report it to admin level and get a ban issued.
Yet I've reported outright racist and xenophobic comments on the site dozens of times and 9 times out of 10 times the outcome is 'we didn't find an issue with the reported content'

Don't get me started on Reddit. I quite liked it at first, until I discovered it is in fact an echo chamber. Genuine conversation is stifled via their karma system which means only comments the majority agree with gain visibility. That wouldn't be so bad perhaps except the majority of redditors are heavily left leaning weirdos (at least in the areas I frequented) who never seem to leave the house and sneer at anyone who doesn't have a politically correct opinion on something.
I ditched it recently and never looked back.
