Changing File Structure?

This seems like a really obvious thing, but I don't know how to do it (or if it can be done)....

There is a directory which looks like this...

User - Folder - Photos - Photos - Photos - (actual pictures)

If possible, I want to change it so it remove the folders which don't contain anything but the next folder, so it would look like this;

User - Folder - Photos - (actual pictures)

I could copy and paste, then delete the now empty folders, but that seems like a very poor way of doing it. Can anyone suggest a better way?

Windows? Just go in to the folder with the photos, Select All, then drag them to the folder you want to move them to (in a second window if that makes it easier, or drag and hover over the target folder to open it).

Just open 2 windows and drag the final [Photos] folder(s) to the top-level [Folder] and delete the empty remaining folders.

Ah, yes, thank you. I assumed that would copy and paste the folder, clearly not! smile

It would effectively cut and paste. That's instant (ie no copying) as long as you're pasting to the same partition.
