I've got a Samsung A51 and it has frozen on the logo screen. Soft reset just goes back to the same screen.
I've taken it to several repair shops and they all say that only a hard reset will unfreeze it and that of course all data will be lost, that's if it hasn't been lost already.

Not dropped, no water damage, and no, I have never backed it up thank you for asking smile

I've seen a few pieces of software online that claim to be able to access files and data, but when I google them they look dodgy.

So does anyone have any suggestions please of reliable software or a genius repairer so that we can get our photos back? The phone is unimportant.

If its freezing on the flash screen its usually terminal in my experience.
Have you tried connecting it to a pc?

Dave.

You might get it to talk to your pc via the cable if you can get to boot into recovery mode, although at least on of the repair shops should have tried this.

Are you sure you haven't backed up any photos? It's usually done by default unless you specifically tell it not to.

Yes tried to connect but the pc doesn't recognise it.
And I think I was too clever to allow Google access to my photos frown

One guy was able to look at the storage and capacity but he wasn't an android specialist and didn't want to go further.
