Epson MDF won't scan

I'm trying to scan a document with an Epson xp-3100 MFD and it will only scan half a page vertically of an A4 document.
The Epson scan software won't work at all, I'm using a scan app from the Microsoft store.
Can anyone help ?

I ditched using physical scanners a few years. back.

I use the Genius scan app on my iPhone, It’s brilliant.

The better the camera on your phone, the better the results, but even on my old iphones the results were impressive. On my iphone 13 it is arguably better than the physical scanners.

Personally, unless you have tons of very similar size A4 stuff that can be loaded and scanned automatically, I would definitely recommend an app on your phone similar to Genius scan.

Yeh I've ended up taking a photo and will upload that to my pc

Taking a photo is ok, but a good scanning app will do all the auto allign, cropping and contrast stuff automatically.

Just point it at the object document in any old fashion and it will make a near perfect copy.
