Android phone problem.

When I answer calls from a specific land line number, I can hear the caller but they can't hear me speak.
The caller makes hundreds of phone calls per day without problem, which suggests that the problem is with my phone.
This has happened on three separate occasions over the last two months.
Every other call I receive is fine, regardless of where it comes from.
What could be causing this?
The phone is a Xiaomi Redmi note 10 pro running android 13. Network is EE
