Very annoying. When you are using the on screen keyboard, if you type directly into the chrome web address bar, the keyboard changes slightly, reducing the size of the space bar, and adding a ".com" key at the end. Needless to say I keep hitting the bloody thing.

Any way to get rid?/disable.

Google chrome, on a Lenovo Chromebook (no physical keyboard)

Googled it to no avail.

I don't think it's possible - sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Options can be tweaked for physical keyboards on Chrome OS, but there's not much in the way of changeable settings for the on-screen keyboard AFAIK.

I'm sure I installed 'G Board' for that same reason a while ago.

Gah - Gboard is pretty much identical with the same bloody .com key, that can't be removed.
