I've got a Samsung q8o or maybe q85, had it since 2019. Recently finding that it's dog slow to load apps, netflix loads but the titles etc take an age to load, like it's on dial up or something. It's not the incoming internet connection which is 1Gb fttp. Turning the TV off at the wall and turning it on again seems to fix it. Connection via WiFi and no new apps installed recently.

Anyone got any ideas please? I could just turn it on and off every day but it seems a bit crazy to have to do that? Hadn't needed to until a few weeks ago. Now it's daily where it needs the power yanking before we can watch anything.

Thanks
Mike

Maybe next time try powering your router off then on (instead of the TV) and see what happens?

PS. To state the obvious - check all firmware/software is up to date. You should also have a clear cache option in settings.

Do a reset on the TV too. Could easily be a bit of dodgy software getting 'stuck'.

Yeah tried the router on/off already. Oddly this has only started happening since approx getting a WiFi disc but that's out in the garage and out of range of the TV.

The TV sits behind a adblocker and my own DNS, and a proxy, but nothing untoward on the logs.

Literally yanking the plug and turning it on again fixes it. It's OS is up to date last time I checked but dunno about apps. I'll try removing iPlayer first.

What's a reset if not a power on and off? You mean back to factory settings ?

Oops you've already sussed that wink My money is on the TV's cache being full but a factory re-set would empty that anyway.
