Can't start Outlook from laptop - any ideas to sort?!

Started playing up last night asking for username / password. Then stopped connecting to Outlook server. Then eventually would not even start and I get this message. I have closed laptop and opened it up a few times + un-installed and re-installed Outlook.

Have you tried creating a new Outlook profile? Hold down Shift key on your keyboard when opening Outlook > Options > New

Also is it a works laptop? Any issues with the Exchange server itself?

Sounds like your work Exchange server had broken, check with the IT people who support it.

Could be a drive error on the local storage as well.
Is this an Exchange/IMAP service? And what version of Outlook and OS are you using?

Weird as laptop version is borked, wont even load up as screenshot. Version on phone isn't working either as no emails since 31 Aug. Thankfully though the online version of Outlook still works the one where you log on via the internet.

Will contact IT as you say.

Sounds like maybe the cached password in Outlook is wrong, hence not logging into the server. IT should be able to sort that fairly easily though.

I would say more like a gateway server has failed and nothing is being passed back to exchange to be validated.
