I bought a coffee machine 5 days ago from a big online retailer, today I noticed the price has dropped by £150. Would you order another at the new price and return the 4 day old one or not.

Any potential issues.

Small change in the scheme of life.

I s'pose if I was really bugged I wouldn't mess about swapping the item out, I'd speak to the retailer & ask them to do the decent thing.

Anybody who spends what must have been considerably more than £150 on a coffee machine can't be short of a few beans hehe

Just send it back and order the discounted one, No hassle and imo worth £150 for maybe half an hours work.

Most companies will understand the situation and simply refund the difference if you ask them. Less hassle for both of you that way.

Chatted with them and explained, they won't discount the one already purchased.

Assuming the machine shipped from the UK, I think you have a right to return it for a full refund of what you paid, minus delivery costs both ways.

Since these are likely to be a lot less than £150, I'd do that.

Yep it seems they would rather have a returned used item that they cannot sell as new and have the costs of return and delivery. Green issues aside.

Based on them not really seeming interested in any form of customer care, Id be looking to back it and refund and go elsewhere, thats a stty attitude for a retailer imho.

What's this got to do with cars? Unless you are going to take it back in your mapped 325d or MX5 of course?

Just order a new one and when it arrives send it straight back (after removing paperwork) as the original unused purchase.
