Google Chromebook

Getting frustrated while I wait for the school to respond, so wondering if there is a work-round for my issue.

Daughter left school this summer. She used a Chromebook (that I bought outright, not loaned or paid through instalments) during school and it appears it is still managed by the school admin. Initial searching tells me I can't remove that ownership - only the school can.

Now the school are slow in responding to my requests to have them resent the CB - I know it is summer etc but the team are in - confirmed by reception! She is taking the CB in on Thursday (results day) but I can see her not achieving!

So is there a work-round or do I simply need to keep pestering the school? Have tried the rest via power washing but it still reverts to school management.

It only takes a minute or two, but the school IT admin will have to do it.
Quickest way is to appear at their desk/door as your daughter is planning to do if they've not engaged with you thus far.

Is the Chromebook itself enrolled into the schools Google workspace or is it that your daughter is signing in with a school provided account? The former requires school IT to deprovision it in the console, the latter needs your daughter to get her own account.

Colin…… A. We bought through the school and they provisioned it set up for her.

plus chances are if its enrolled they will eventually get round to unenrolling it in a few weeks when they need to renew the license for another year.

All sorted - the school messaged to say they had done it remotely in response to our original messaging.
