Facebook feed showing old posts

The past few days I've noticed my Facebook feed is basically just showing stuff that's been posted days ago, with a very occasional new post here or there. Tried some Googling which reveals nothing of any help. Any suggestions?

I get this when using FB on my laptop, on the left hand side there is a list of options 'friends' groups' memories' etc, if I click 'see more' I get 'feeds' give this a click and it brings up all new posts which can be seperated by clicking the options given 'all' 'friends' 'groups' etc

Oh good, I'm not going mad then, mine has been doing that for a few days now as well. I've even tried logging out and back in to see if it "reset" something, but it didn't.

If I open a group, I can see that there are later posts, but my main "feed" can sometimes be stuff that was posted days ago and hasn't had any updates. The order that FB chooses to present stuff in is inexplicable at the best of times, but it's been awful just recently.

Getting tired of the changes Facebook keeps making, its as if they dont want you to see whats happening now and keep pushing older posts about what Bob ate in the Dirty Duck 4 days ago.
