Samsung Galaxy Book3 360
Discussion
I have a laptop that I use very occasionally and I think it's time to upgrade it. It does not have to be high performance at all - but I want something with a small / slim footprint which tends to bump the price up. I have absolutely no interest in any Apple device.
I browsed in Curry's yesterday and although they seem almost entirely HP dedicated these days - the Samsung Galaxy book3 360 (13.3") seemed to be exactly what I want. Nice small footprint, slim, reasonable spec (certainly capable of what I'd use it for). I understand it comes with a bit of Samsung bloatware - however, as somebody with Samsung tablets and phone - stuff that will "sync" with those is actually a plus for me.
Is there anything else I should consider that would actually be a much better buy (or any reason why this would actually be a very bad buy)? Small footprint / slim is quite important to me - and I want reasonable storage (so no chromebook). The Samsung comes with i5 / 8GB / 256GB SSD - but although I would like my budget to stop at ~£1k, I'm thinking I might go for the i7 / 16GB / 512GB one which I think takes me up to about ~£1,400. I definitely do not want to spend above that.

Morning,
I have the Ultra Book 3 (i9 version) and you're right, it does come with Samsung bloatware but it's actually useful if you have other Samsung equipment. For example, my Tab 8 ultra becomes a second monitor wirelessly.
If you plan to do any gaming or encoding then the lack of a dedicated graphics card will slow things down. Overall though, a lovely laptop with an amazing OLED screen.

I should have made an impulse purchase..... I went to Currys again yesterday to see it again, but noticed a few other 13" ones........
One problem is that if I go for the i7 / 16GB / 512GB model it takes the price up to ~£1,400 which means it's then competing against other options. Especially the Dell XPS13 which I understand is a very good laptop.
There also seems to be the Asus Flipbook - although it's not particularly pretty - Amazon seem to have an amazing price on it. It's also i7 / 16GB with a 1TB hard drive and coming in at ~£800! Although the reviews suggest that the performance lags way behind what it should - and it also seems that it lacks fingerprint reader which I think is essential to me.
I'm still debating on the Samsung - I really liked it for some reason but the Dell would seem to be the sensible buy. Got a week away soon so may sleep on it until after that.
