Honor 8S keeps notifying of a voicemail!
Discussion
One of the family has an Honor 8S mobile phone, it is fine does everything they want but... it keeps telling them there is a voice mail when there isn't! The message appears every time they switch off the phone (so it is there every morning when they switch the phone on).
Any ideas? They barely use the phone so don't want to buy another, it is an "emergency" phone to be honest.
- Did the obvious stuff like checking there wasn't actually a voice mail message! (there were none).
- Turned off voice mail (made no difference so switched it back on again)

The obvious answer is not to switch the phone off every night.
There is no reason to do so.
On the occasions I have rebooted my phone I will sometimes get the new voicemail notification if there's any I've dismissed without listening to and the only way to stop that is to listen and delete.
They need to phone the voicemail number which is accessed by opening the phone app and touching and holding 1 on the dial pad on android or if it's ios I believe there's a direct voicemail option in the phone app.
Don't just check for new messages, check for saved messages too.
If that doesn't work then I don't know what to suggest

Oh yes, I found the problem, but forgot to write back in!
Guess what.. it was.... the Micros SD card!
Crazy is as Crazy does, I was having a rant about it in work, after I had finished with my rant one of the Engineer guys in work told me he had the same problem with one of his phones and try removing or replacing the sd card and see if it changes anything (well, he works in "Engineering Technical" anyway, and is rather good at fixing things and problem solving!).
Yes really! guess the sd card must be a bit old or something, take it out the phone doesn't do it, put in a newer one, no voicemail beeps. Put the old one back in and it beeps again. Irritating, but at least I don't need a buy another phone that is almost the same as the one I have!
Just to be clear, the voicemail is via a notification; not a icon etc and once I clear the notification it does not notify me again until I switch the phone on (obviously after switching it off), may be a different problem, but might be worth a try.
