Question on Apple Music

I've just subscribed to Apple Music (Family sharing) but a bit confused how to add songs. I seem to have 2 options 1/ Add to Library or 2/ Download. What are the differences and which is best? Thanks

The download option allows you to play when not on line. For example, Airplane mode. You get a tick in the top right hand corner once this is done.

Thank you. So for the little effort it takes - is it good practice to also 'download' it? Any negatives to downloading every song?

I used to download everything for my iPod, but now with Cloud hosted music there's no point. Despite paying monthly subs for Apple Music and Spotify (thanks to Tesla) I still only listen to about 5 Albums

Apple Music Favourites Mix is very good IMO.
