Plusnet mobile
Discussion
Plusnet are closing their mobile business.
I am free to leave my contract so have signed up with Lebara. My number should be ported across tomorrow.
My question is will my Plusnet account then close automatically or do I have to inform Plusnet ?
The issue here being I've tried phoning them but can't get to speak to anyone, not surprisingly the lines are very busy.
Also Chat is with a robot and doesn't have options to cancel .

I've got to do this with mine as well, not looking forward to it to be honest, I've been with Plusnet mobile for years now, £7 a month for unlimited calls etc and 2Gb data that I can use throughout Europe. I'm not finding anything close from anyone else.
https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/Lebara - £5 for 5gb
I changed to https://www.lycamobile.co.uk/ because I need to use EE, as thats the only service I can get at home. Not unlimited calls but 1000 calls will be about 970 more than i need

To everyone who has not switched yet, you should have had an email from Plusnet directing you to offers for EE. Link belowhttps://www.plus.net/mobile?mkt_id%3D%22=&utm_...
I'm seeing some decent deals?!

I think I lasted about a week with PlusNet when I joined them last year. I’d been an EE customer a few years ago and the phone always seemed to work fine, but PlusNet, thanks to them not supporting WiFi calling (which I must have been using more than I thought) and VoLTE was pretty much unusable. Moved to Lebara who offer all that and, crucially these days, no price rises. Far, far better service, so good riddance to EE/BT’s crap “budget” brand.

This seems like a decent option, International use is charged from the normal UK allowance and nice that is uses EE as they're been the most reliable of all the mobile networks I've been involved with over the years.V8covin said:
With Lebara I'm getting 5gb data unlimited texts and calls and 100 international minutes for £1.98 for 3 months then £4.95 for the remaining months plus £10 cashback with Tcb
What's customer services like with Lebara, I usually assume with these cheap deals that it's not great?well myself and the wife both changed to Lyca. As for customer service I have no idea as I did not speak to anyone about any issues. But ordered the sim, it arrived next day. Chucked it in the phone, after 5 minutes or so it was all setup and working. Then came porting the number, filled out the form and next day the number was ported. If that's what is meant by customer service then so far 11 out of 10.
Does anybody know when Plusnet Mobile will formally switch off as the email and their website arent at all clear?
My Plusnet monthly contract is exceptional and I would like to keep it for as long as possible but dont need the stress and hassle of being unexpectedly binned off
Furthermore, Im a very happy customer and have happily made good use of their roaming for ages. We have a family holiday to France at the end of August and Id like to take full advantage of this before being forced to change
Cheers
I would suggest iD mobile if you are looking at value for money. A quick look shows they match the EE price for 5Gb of data above, but then for a pound or two more per month, they give larger data allowances eg: 12Gb for £7, 20Gb for £8.
Might be worth a look. I've used them for a number off years with no headaches yet.
