Can anyone help please.

My wife knelt on the laptop a few weeks back and smashed the screen.
We don’t use it a lot but my little boy is having some
tuition through the holidays.

I’ve looked only and you can get screens for £30, happy
to try and replace it myself.
The main problem is it is a Lenovo yoga touch screen
and looks like the £30 replacements will stop this?

Easy enough to replace, recent thread here > https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

With lenovos, they often have a sticky elastic rubber band strip behind the left and right sides of the screen. These must be carefully pulled down via their tabs, quite a long way, and then the band detaches from the screen, freeing it. Be careful though, as they need to be reused for the new screen.

Thanks, will the touch screen still work with a generic new screen or do I need something more?
It’s working fine now even with the cracked screen.

As long as the 3rd party screen is stated as being compatible with your model ref, it'll work fine.

Look on the old screen, search by the part number - I got a replacement screen half price saving £30 just searching a bit harder.

Good for search tip finding hard to get nos auto parts also wink
