Have a couple of battery outside cameras, looking at using a solar panel to keep them charged.
Are there any waterproof sleeves than can be used to waterproof the USB micro plug into the camera.
I have had a google and can only find dust covers for the usb sockets- the camera has a rubber plug into the usb socket to waterproof it.

No type of USB socket is designed to be sealed, so your best bet in this situation might be to use Silicone or similar sealant to seal the cable connection once inserted. However presumably to plug a cable in you will have to remove or butcher an existing cover so you may end up exposing other areas of the camera that will also need resealing.

The other thing to check is that the device actually continues to work whilst the battery is being charged, as some devices may only do one thing or the other and that would defeat your objective!

Thanks-the camera has an external usb socket for charging-that is sealed with a removable rubber bung when not in use.

It's a Tapo camera, Tapo actually sell a solar panel for the camera for £40 that looks identical to Chinese ones at a quarter of the price. The Tapa usb plug seems to have a silicon sleeve to go on the usb micro connector to waterproof it when it plugs into the camera usb socket.
It's this silicone sleeve thing I am trying to find, unless it's a special one off manufactured for Tapo.

Edit -Just found the Tapo solar panel on Amazon for £24 so may just go for that-if I cannot find a suitable waterproof sleeve for the micro usb plug.

For any outside connection like this I use silicone grease - providing its not in the direct path of rain.
