Samsung VPL550 to IOS format

Hi Guys

Just found in the loft my old old samsung VP L550 Hi 8 video camera....charged it up and its ready to go.

I have some really sentimental stuff on 2 cassettes that I want to download to my macbook air or at a push my sons gaming PC.

I have an S video plug on the camera along with an AV out.

How would you go about doing the transfer along with possible enhancing the video picture?

Possibly for free...

I bought one of these to digitise old VHS tapes, worked well.

Also found some Windows freeware that upscaled and improved the output, will try to remember what it was called...

Great I have one of these things I found in the bag!!!! wandered what it was!!!!

yes please what sofware would be great on grabbing the video and upscaling it
