Messaging on Samsung

Just sent a first time message to an irish mobile

Normally ones i send to Mrs Fox show a message 'text to Mts Fox SMS/MMS

However to one to the irish mobile Has a lock and the message RCS chat with MollyMalone

On sending the message it has two circles with ticks.. does this mean it has been received and read?




AAargh the original message has now disappeared.. What could have caused that?

Just use WhatsApp, it’s far simpler.

Not sure if they have ir, it is an old biddy who is less tech savvy than i am...and i am still in the mud at the bottom of the pond..

I dont fancy ringing them this late.. I think they have to tell me they are on it, for me to send them a whats app message?

You can add their number as a new contact on WhatsApp, usually tells you if that number exists.

Otherwise dead easy to install the app.

If they are on WhatsApp it will show them in your WhatsApp contacts when you start a new message. It imports them from your phone book.

One circle with a tick means sent, 2 means received and if they have the read bit turned on then it changes colour when read

Changes to blue.
