Lenovo Yoga Fan Issues?

Somewhat disappointed that 8 months out of warranty it starts playing up, but here goes!

So I think the only moving part on my laptop (Yoga C740-15IML) is the fan, but please let me know if I am wrong, getting a sound from the fan like it is about to konk out, also completed a hardware scan and it couldn't find the fan.

Wondering if I should attempt a repair myself or go for the Lenovo extended warranty.

Not much help other than to say that my Lenovo Yoga failed six months to the day out of its warranty. The conspiracy theorist in me could intimate they put a life on them !!
