Looks like a good spec. I can't recommend that retailer however. CCL, OCUK and EBuyer are all much better in my experience.

Thanks, I've not used them before so fingers crossed all goes smoothly

+1

Check Amazon as well, easy returns compared to any computer centric company, just make sure you are buying from Amazon not a 3rd party seller through Amazon.

All looks fine except maybe the case - I'd want a full mesh front to maximise airflow personally.

If the motherboard has more than one nvme drive slot (and it probably does), I'd probably get a ~250/500GB drive for the OS and keep the 2TB one for everything else.

Scan are fine - I've been using them for well over 20 years with no issues - and I've needed the customer service on a couple of occasions...

I would politely disagree.

Purchased a 3XS workstation from them four months back. Full build.
Excellent service throughout. Regular progress updates, no surprises.
CPU coolers specified were not available; upgraded at no cost.
Needed a few bits after delivery; good advice given, arrived the next day.
No complaints from me at all, aside from the system being a couple of days late owing to supply issues of which I was fully informed before paying.
As always; YMMV.

That's a good idea!

Thank you

What games do you play?

Do you need 64gb of ddr5 ram?, it’s still pretty expensive for what it is. A high speed ddr4 might save a few pennies with a negligible notice in performance

It’s going to be a beast once it’s built!

Flight sims mostly and yes, 64gb is needed smile

I did a lot of searching and scan do seem cheaper than anyone atm.

The mobo bundle saves me a ton of hassle and is guaranteed

Compared to off the shelf PC's It seemed good value.

Thankfully I can build the rest myself

£200 for a PSU!?!?!?!? Blimey. I bought a Corsair 850w on marketplace (local) for £35. It really is a simply bit of kit.

£200 is nuts. I appreciate its new. Graphic cards used to cost that !

It's worth checking PCpartpicker for prices, as you tend to get better deals shopping around.

They also have build guides based on budget. To be honest, this is a better build for the money: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/guide/TLgXsY/glorious-... - just change to 64gb of ram. You could even down spec the 4090 to the 4070Ti and save money, or upgrade other areas.

Scan have amazing customer service.

I got a gaming 3XS system off them a couple of years ago and THE EVGA 3080 in it had a busted fan that would continuously cycle up then down. This was at the height of the GPU shortage, drove down to their main centre as its only down the road from me. Scan replaced it on the day no questions asked.

OP, I would recommend creating a reddit account and going to r/buildapc or r/buildmeapc

They can probably mess around with your build in order to get you a 4080 instead.

Any reason you have ruled out AMD Ryzen 7900x3D?

Slightly better performance, lower power draw and easier to cool.
