Wow one individual email came through VM from 8am today, a one time password to get me into an online account, only 9 hours too late, bloody shambles...

I couldn't log into mine at all yesterday, today i could log in and I had 208 new emails! in reality it was 6 but each one was duplicated over and over, deleted them all and all my old emails have vanished, hopefully once they have sorted things I will get them back

Guys you really need to move away from VM email, it’s not even a proper email client. Also you can only have a maximum password length of 10 characters.

It’s painful to change your email address everywhere but in the long run you’ll be glad you moved away, plus if/when you ever need to leave VM services the threat of them taking your email address away will mean nothing as you’ll already be gone.

I recommend proton mail.

I agree with you but I just cant be bothered biggrin

I've been with VM since the days of NTL so I think most of my contacts would only have the Ntlworld email.

Is there anyway of putting a redirect on the email so it forwards emails to my hotmail account?

Yes , just set up auto forward to the email of your choice. I use Gmail for example so they get pushed to my phone.

Received the following from VM earlier today.............

I’m getting in touch with you to provide an update on the recent issues with your Virgin Media email service.

Firstly, I’d like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience you are experiencing. We have informed the Information Commissioner about the event, and now want to give you further information.

As of Tuesday evening, we have restored your ability to send and receive emails from your account. However, we’re aware that you are among a small proportion of users who are currently not able to see historic emails in your inbox. We want to reassure you that we are working to restore your inbox and its contents as soon as possible.
