Ring doorbell no microphone

The microphone has stopped working on my pro 2. This happened on my old ring 4. It's on my wife's phone as well. I've got the microphone enabled. What's going on this seems a common problem

Is it still under warranty? If so you can experience and cons and pros of their support. Factory reset, which with automatic firmware update takes forever and means you have to redo your settings, but then in my experience once it still does not work they send you a replacement and if your model is out of date, you get the new version at no extra cost.
