Joomla 3 to 4

Hoping someone can give me some pointers on this
We have a website for some holiday cottages we rent out. We used to take bookings through the site but now through air bnb / agents

Asked web hosting company to replace booking form with link to air bnb

This prompted email saying website needs to be upgraded to J4 (and hosting fee going up x 4.5)

Fee for converting to J4 £300+vat and annual fee

Not huge money in scheme of things but given we don’t even get bookings through the site hard to justify

The website is really basic

Is there an alternative (ideally that doesn’t involve me punching the laptop trying to set up a Wordpress website)

Put up a traditional site using HTML/CSS if there aren't many dynamic elements?

Or move to another CMS. Both will require investment of time and money most likely. Have they identified why it is so much to move Joomla versions?
