Hi All, I’ve currently got a Asus DSL-N16 and am finding performance a bit patchy in my new house. Can anyone give me a good recommendation for a wifi router ideally not much more than £150?

What do you mean by patchy performance? Instability? Poor WiFi performance (speed)? Poor WiFI coverage?

How big is your new house? It might be that you need to look at additional hardware to improve coverage eg a mesh type setup.

Poor wifi performance. The coverage is reasonably good but the performance is patchy and slow.

Okay. What is your connection at the new house? Still ADSL / VDSL (so telephone lines plugs into the) or something with a modem / ONT which plugs into one of the LAN ports?

If that's all word-soup, scenario 1 or 2 in the diagram when you scroll a little bit down the product page here:

What's your current broadband speed (ideally measured with wired, not wifi) and what's your expectations?

Note that's a 2.4GHz only router, so performance will likely be disappointing, especially if there are many neighbours with WiFi.

Second the how big is the house question, and are the interior walls studding and plasterboard, or 2 feet of granite?

stupid question, but did the ISP supply anything? Anything recent from a decent ISP is likely to be an improvement on that.
