I used a Huawei router B525 for two years it was supplied as part of an EE package in a house where we had no usable land line in .
I want to use the router now for about 3 months as basic internet to run two Ring cameras on at a house that is mostly empty .

I don't have the router with me , do you think they are locked to a carrier ? Do I have to get an EE sim or do you think it will work with something else . I am currently kicking myself for not bringing it home to do a simple test with another Sim , I was at that house yesterday .

If anyone has a view that would be great

I use one for our caravan, after logging into the admin portal you can change between carriers, but I got it from Amazon so it’s not locked.

Google suggests an £8 unlocking fee https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Archived-Posts/In-ne...
