The phone came with Google Play and that was fine for a while then it got discontinued.

It got changed to YT Music (Youtube) but lots of the CDs I had uploaded got lost in the transfer. Some got transferred to Amazon Music which is now unusable as it shuffles everything.

I want to uninstall both and have an app to purely play the CDs that I rip to it. Any suggestions?

If the music files are stored on the phone / SD then I'd recommend PowerAmp

I assume so but unsure how they have been spread across YT Music and Amazon Music.
Would like to delete both and have one app that I can rip all my CDs to so I have them al in one place. .

My GPM libary transferred to YT music fine, but I hate the app so I just use Spotify these days. Occasionally there is an album that I want to listen to that isn't on Spotify so I open YT music.

VLC media player. You need to turn off notifications though if you don't want it cluttering up the lock screen.

My ridiculous routine is:

1. Act surprised when lots of cheap CDs arrive in the post from ebay drink
2. Rip them to PC using MusicBee

MusicBee lets you create playlists which can be synced to your phone / external devices.

You need to link the app to the location the files are stored. I'd assume that YT and Amazon have access to different file locations.

BlackPlayer is pretty good, has a decent equalizer, sound effects, etc.

Another vote for PowerAmp. Rip my CDs to a hard drive and then add the required tracks to my phone. It also has the ability to create playlists so my favourite Christmas songs don't pop up in July.

Rip your CDs to a PC
Copy the files to your phone (into a new folder)
Install PowerAmp on your phone and point its Library only at your new folder
See if you can find the other folders on your phone (YT and Amazon) and delete the files.
