Help tracking my old Android phone?
Discussion
I’ve just upgraded my phone and mislaid my old one - it’s currently switched on and although there is no SIM card in it it will be connected to the Wi-Fi where I’ve likely left it (150 miles away )
Question - given that it has GPS and is currently connected to Wi-Fi, is there any way I can trace it using Google location services or something? Obviously installing a client like Airdroid is out of the question, but I can still see the phone if I look it up on Google Location history and “Devices on this account” but it’s not showing me where it is.
Time is of the essence as obviously the battery won’t last forever. I just need to know where the damn thing is before I potentially make a 300 miles round trip before discovering it’s down the back seat of my car…
