I have a work laptop and 2 extra screens with the laptop tucked under the monitor. This means the screen isn't of much use.

I would like to mount it to the wall in portrait mode so I can use the screen for emails or teams and still be able to use the built-in webcam. I'm struggling to find a solution that will hold the laptop securely, and completely vertical in that position while on an arm so I can move it as necessary.

Has anyone done similar or seen anything like that?

You want the laptop on its side? You say portrait and horizontal? Bit confused.

Yes, I've got 2 in landscape and used a screen in portrait recently and found it useful for emails and teams. Instead of buying a 3rd monitor I wondered if it was possible to use it but would need to be able to move it around as needed.

If you put the laptop on its side and don't block the vents, it could work.

Then position the mouse on that screen and press ALT-GR and the left or right arrow key to change the orientation of the screen.

It will look crap but it should work. It will also be hard to type biggrin

Have you checked that the webcam will work in it's rotated orientation...a lot of our settings are locked behind a corporate group policy banghead

OP, would getting a separate webcam be easier? You could position that centrally rather than needing to manoeuvre the laptop in front of you every time for a call? Appreciate it doesn't give you a vertical screen, but maybe a cheap 2nd hand monitor could solve that?

It comes with two mounts, one for tablet, one for laptop. From pictures it holds a laptop vertically.

Thanks for all the comments. I did see that mount but wasn't sure if it would be secure enough. I guess the advantage of Amazon is it will be easy to send back.

I hadn't thought about the team's side of rotating it, will need to look at that.

I think the new webcam/monitor is a better option but as this really isn't essential I can't justify that cost.
