Donwloaded the new app and now can't login in, connect to lock or change password. Apparently they are inundated with issues - my problems are now with second line support and the locks are no longer connected!!!

Don't these firms fully test new apps and consider limited rollout?! Its unfathomable. Rant over. Don't update to the new app!
If you have any of the alarm gear, it probably won't work!

There are some things I’m willing to take a gamble on breaking occasionally for the sake of convenience. Smart lights, timers, etc. Others, like unlocking the door to my home, I’ll keep with old fashioned tried and true laugh

There’s more than just the app in the chain. Your home network and your phone can break connectivity to smart devices too.

Hope you get it sorted soon

Yeah its defo the app...its just not working as expected and Yale have admitted the issues. They did a mass launch with no pilot or managed deployment....
