I am looking to get a Go Pro to use on my 1960 Fairthorpe Zeta, i want to mount it on the passenger side roll hoop, can anyone recommend which Go Pro to get and a good secure mount to use?

I have recently got the latest gopro (11 black) and i’m really impressed with the image stabilisation from it. They are pretty damn expensive, but i figure that they last a long time and stand up to abuse, plus capture very good quality video. The older models are still very good, I won’t use half the features/ ability of the camera, but figured i’d get the best I could for now, hoping it lasts a while

Also for really in-depth reviews check out ‘DC rainmaker’ he has a website/ youtube videos etc….. he does really good tech reviews (mainly sports/ fitness tech) but does use drones/ action cameras a lot and gives really good reviews.

I've got GoPro 10 and 11 I use on my KTM motorbike, which being a V twin is a bit vibey. As mentioned above the stabilisation on the latest GoPros is just another world above the general action cameras and not even my iPhone 14 in action mode gets anywhere near. The 11 has a larger sensor and can record in 10 bit not 8 which gives a noticeable improvement over the 10.

You'll benefit from the best sd cards too, I use Sandisk extreme pro 128GB cards and I've never had a failure yet.

And yes, RAM mounts are the best, lots of options, might be worth speaking too people in a car club that has a lot of open top cars to see what they use to afix cameras.
