For no reason at all, worked fine yesterday, but today a sky q mini box won’t work. Nothing but an orange flashing light on the power button.
I’ve turned it off, left it for hours, pressed reset button, reset the main router, all ends up with this orange flashing light.

Close to chucking it out of the window, anyone had anything similar before I do?

Google suggests something is connected to the internet through it?! No idea how that’s even possible and would have involved me doing something different which I haven’t done?

Maybe stuck in a software upgrade cycle.
In case by chance you havent tried resetting it this way from Skys guide

Sky Q Mini Recovery Process
Switch the Sky Q Mini box off at the mains.
Hold down the Reset button on the back of the Sky Q Mini box and switch it back on at the mains.
Keep holding it until the light on the front flashes red and green. This will take about 30 seconds.
Once it flashes red and green, press the standby button on the front of the box.
If the lights don't show after 30 seconds, repeat steps 1 to 2.
The box will then restart.
After the on-screen messages have disappeared, press Home on your Sky Q remote to switch your box back on.

They’re both flashing as there is some form of wifi interference, it’s stopping then connecting to each other or WPS’ing.

Have you added something electronic to the house recently? Led light, fish tank, electric fan? These things all emit noise that can affect sky Q mesh networks.

You can go old school and turn off all electronic devices in the house, power only the sky Q equipment and turn on each device to see which one knocks the Q minis off.

You can also change the wifi channel of the Q equipment to move it away from the source of interference.

Home, settings, 0, 0, 1 select. Go to network, go to 5ghz channel width, change to 40/44 and confirm. Will take about 10 minutes for the boxes/router to catch up.

Report it to Sky?
They will replace free of charge (if they can’t fix it)

Nope, not changed a thing, not a single addition anywhere. Baffling.

Might try turning the entire house off and on again lol

Quick update, none of the resetting etc made any difference, quick call to sky and they're sending a new one out and I just need to give the old one to the courier, nice and easy.
